Mark A. Michaels and Patricia Johnson have been teaching Tantra together since 1999. Their first book The Essence of Tantric Sexuality (Llewellyn, 2006) was a National Best Books 2007 Awards Award-Winner in the Health: Sexuality category and an Award-Winning Finalist in the Religion: Eastern Religions category, and they have just released their second book, Tantra for Erotic Empowerment: The Key to Enriching Your Sexual Life (Llewellyn 2008). They wrote and appeared in two instructional DVDs: Tantric Sexual Massage for Lovers and Advanced Tantric Sex Secrets (Alexander Institute, 2008) and were guest teachers in Tristan Taormino’s Chemistry 4 (Vivid). Their tips on relationships and sexuality have been featured in numerous publications and on many websites including Redbook, Jane, Cosmopolitan, Pregnancy and Newborn, Rockstar, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Tantric Sex and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Enhancing Sexual Desire. Michaels and Johnson have taught throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, and Australia.
